Pitt starred with Jim Hanks, brother of actor Tom Hanks, 

in There/Not There, a short film which was screened and 

well-received at Creative Artists Agency in 2006, in which 

he played a Marine who suffered a catastrophic brain injury 

in the Battle of Fallujah. He considers Tom Hanks' and 

Rita Wilson's praise after seeing the film one of the 

high points of his career so far. He had used the depth of 

Tom's characters and his approach to 

film subjects as a template for his own work.

James was recently cast as space shuttle pilot in Avatar, 

another major milestone in his career, 

scheduled for release on December 18th, 2009.
